It was great to meet the WeHoRR and HoRR winning Leander athletes last night and to celebrate their wins. 1st ever Leander Club joint WeHoRR/HoRR win at club level - rowing alumni will no doubt recall their double win in 2011 but one of those was a squad crew. These are all inspirational athletes that are exploring their post rowing career options. Massive congratulations: Abbie Topp, Amelia Standing, Charlotte Fennell, Phoebe Snowden, Juliette Perry, Philippa Emery, Daisy Bellamy, Issy Powell, and cox Henry Fieldman Matt Rowe, Dan Graham, Douwe de Graaf, Sam Bannister, Miles Beeson, Tobias Schröder, Tom Ballinger, James Vogel, and Cox Jack Tottem

Very gusty performance from the Dads, considering they are all novices! Brilliant.

Great insight Dan and a great result too!
This weekend I was delighted to win the GB April Trials in the men's pair. The win was the culmination of a year's worth of hard work between myself and my pairs partner and I am exceptionally proud to have overcome the obstacles we faced to come away with the top spot. This result ranks us as the top pair outside of the Olympic squad, a position which is a great step in my development as an athlete as I look to build and grow up to the LA 2028 Olympics. The intensity of the pressure this weekend was a stark reminder of the few opportunities we get to perform in this sport and the importance of making the most of them. It was yet another valuable learning experience in trying to execute your best performance under acute pressure, something that I believe we handled very well as a partnership and helped us to achieve the win. I would of course like to thank the Leander Club and the Colgan Foundation for their generosity in supporting us, allowing these sorts of performances to happen. As always the facilities, coaching and preparation were first class. Onto a fun summer of racing now with Ghent Regatta, World Rowing Cup 3 and Henley Royal Regatta fast appearing on the horizon. I'm very excited to see what it holds.

Paralympic, 3 x World and 4 x European Champion | Thriving after Breast Cancer | Keynote Speaker | Charity Patron
It’s a privilege to be selected for the European Championships 2024 🇬🇧 I promise that I take nothing for granted and that every time I represent GB, I remember a time when I thought it might never happen for me again. Cancer is ever present in my life and I would be lying if I said I am completely over the physical impact of it all. Cancer and its various treatments proves to be the gift that just keeps on giving BUT five months on from my reconstruction, I am feeling fit, healthy and ready to race. We have a new, exciting crew line up and I am really excited to kick off the Paris 2024 season with them all and show the world that we mean business 😎 Racing starts next week, keep an eye for more details on how to watch.

A thought-provoking read from Sholto, sharing what it takes to continually progress when you're at the very top of your game.
I’d like to share the first of a series of article I’m written for Row360 magazine. In this piece I reflect on the Tokyo Olympics and looks ahead to the challenge of Paris 2024 https://lnkd.in/e5b8nqwg

We enjoyed having you here at Leander Club - fabulous theme and in inspirational surroundings = win, win!
It was absolutely fantastic to see one of our advisors Sophia Lerche-Thomsen, CFA host an inspiring event at the grand Leander Club bringing together 60 women from Henley and surrounding areas. Sophia, is on a mission to help close the gender wealth gap by empowering and guiding women towards financial freedom. We absolutely loved hearing the women in our community share their thoughts and open up those conversations about money to remove the taboo on the subject! The event also raised over £500 in support of The Nasio Trust! 🌟 These funds will contribute to keeping girls in education and supporting the community in Kenya. A big thank you to The Leander Club for their support, and to our team, including Holly Frizzell, Kim Sprague, Tasha Mulford, and Adriana Best. Let's continue these conversations and empower women towards financial freedom! 💪🏽💰 #WomenInFinance #GenderWealthGap #MoneyMindset #EmpoweredWomen
